Probably not because I just made it up.
Still, welcome to the possible proof of that putative pudding . . . karosongs.com . . . the history and archive of an improbable — even extraordinary — musical experience.
Why improbable? How extraordinary?
Well, karosongs are "channeled" songs. They have literally come from beyond the conscious awareness and physical voice of the channel. His personal name is gordon and he is — not to put too fine a point on it — an idiot musant.
That's kind of like an idiot savant but for music. At the conscious level gordon cannot read music, can't carry a beat, can't recognize simple musical notes enough to tune a guitar, and cannot distinguish most vocals from their music.
He couldn't sing worth a darn either. But gordon has been trained to sing worth a darn (even if an inflation-devalued darn) by being the channel for a collection of now more than 50 original songs to come into existence across more than 30 years. They are songs of self-awareness, love, environmental concern, political argument and just plain silliness.
Many of the songs come out of gordon's life and they are coloured by his person, but it's gordon's understanding that these songs have been pushed into his awareness and voice by deeper universal energies.*
Those energies use the label karo for their expression through gordon.
Hence, karosongs.

So that's the backbone to the karosongs story . . . a set of good songs sung by a channeling idiot musant.
And they are still channeling all these years later. While the voice that sings them remains an idiot musant, it is today a much better singer than it was . . . for an idiot musant.

* While gordon understands these songs derive from deeper universal energies beyond his personal identity, he recognizes that's not the only possible explanation for their provenance. In his view, a reasonable alternative explanation says the songs derive from his personal unconscious. This is little different from mainstream western understandings of the human psyche and creativity.
Neither explanation can be proven, neither can be falsified. So gordon chooses the deeper universal energies explanation because it makes sense of his overall experience bringing these songs forward. But he attaches no importance to the explanation beyond that.
The songs exist. That's what matters.
